The word “Zaviah” means perspective in Urdu — and that’s exactly what our books aim to provide: a deeper, more thoughtful connection to faith, culture, and tradition.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Amna Hussein — a mom, a storyteller, and the founder of Zaviah Books.
After a long corporate career and earning degrees from Smith College and Oxford University, I felt called to build something closer to my heart. And what better way than to create children’s books that I wished existed.
As a Muslim American Pakistani mother of two, I want my children to grow up connected to their faith, and excited about their heritage. Zaviah Books is my way of blending a love for learning, a passion for storytelling, and a deep respect for culture and tradition.
Through every book we create, my hope is to spark curiosity, build pride in identity, and help families make beautiful memories.
